Bankruptcy: Glenn A. Metcalf provides primary assistance in the area of debt reorganization, debtor creditor relations, and bankruptcy. Practicing in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Iowa Glenn has represented both debtors and creditors in cases filed under chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13 of the bankruptcy code. The objective of such representation is to protect the financial interests of the client within the framework of the law. This requires significant involvement with each client to be sure the best solution is selected for each different situation. Most work of this nature is done on fixed fee basis which will vary depending upon the complexity of the issues involved.
Corporate Law and Business Organizations: Chad Thompson provides guidance in choice of business entity whether it be a traditional corporate structure, a limited liability entity such as a Limited Liablilty Corportation, (LLC') or a form of partnership. Family Law: Jeffrey Kuchel provides lead council experience in the field of family law which includes: dissolution of marriage (divorce), child custody, visitation, support, property division, paternity and adoption. Our objective is to protect our client's interests assuring long term objectives are not over shadowed by short term answers.
Municipal Law: Barry Thompson, Glenn Metcalf and Jeffrey Kuchel represent the communities of Hinton, Oyens, Remsen, Kingsley, Pierson, Correctionville, Moville, Lawton, Bronson, Anthon and Mapleton as City Attorney. This representation includes bonding, construction contracting, ordinance enforcement, code drafting, employment law, and zoning issues. Agricultural Law: Office practice in a rural community requires a great deal of experience with Ag related issues. Typical of such issues are land leases, equipment and livestock liens, government programs, issues with the Department of Natural Resources and the Farm Service Agency.
