Barry Thompson the senior member of the firm was born in 1947 in Le Mars, Iowa. Barry graduated from the University of South Dakota, School of Law in 1973. Barry practices in both the Kingsley and Remsen offices of the firm emphasizing estate planning, probate, municipal law, taxation and real estate. Barry is admitted to practice in Iowa and South Dakota and is a member of the American Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, South Dakota State Bar Association, and Iowa Municipal Attorneys Association. Barry is currently city attorney for Kingsley, Hinton, Correctionville, Anthon, Oyens and Remsen. Barry is a past President of the Plymouth County Bar Association.

Patrick Phipps the firm's lead litigation attorney, was born in Cherokee, Iowa in 1957. Pat is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, the Nebraska Trial Lawyers Association, and the Iowa and Nebraska Bar Associations. Pat graduated from Creighton School of Law in Omaha in 1982. His principal office is Moville but may be found in all three of the firm's locations. In his spare time Pat has coached several AAU basketball teams to births in the National Tournament. Pat is admitted to practice in Iowa and Nebraska in both the Federal and State courts.

Glenn Metcalf born in 1950, is the son of one of the firm's founders. Glenn practices in the area of bankruptcy and estate planning in addition to taxation, family law, municipal law and real estate. Glenn is a 1986 graduate of the University of South Dakota and is admitted to practice in all Iowa courts, the Federal Court Northern District of Iowa and the United States Tax Court. Glenn is a member of the Iowa Bar Association, and the Iowa Municipal Attorney's Association. His principal office is in Moville. Glenn is a director of First Trust & Savings Bank in Moville and also sits on the Woodbury County Library Board of Trustees.

Jeffrey Kuchel born 1971, lives in Remsen, and practices in family law, municipal law and real estate law. His principal office is Remsen but may be found in all three of the firm's locations as the needs of the client dictate. Jeff is a 1996 graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Law. Jeff is admitted in all Iowa Courts, Federal Court Northern District of Iowa. Jeff is a member of the Iowa Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Family Law section of each association.

Chad Thompson born in 1974 is the son of partner Barry Thompson. Chad graduated from Creighton Law School in 2000. While at Creighton Chad was Editor in Chief of the Law Review. Chad practices in the area of corporate law, business formation and acquisition, bankruptcy and personal injury. Chad is a member of the Iowa Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in Federal and State Court of both states. Chad is a past President of the Plymouth County Bar Association.

Jay Phipps born in 1981 is the son of partner Patrick Phipps. Jay graduated from University of South Dakota Law School in 2006. Jay practices in the area of corporate law, business formation and acquisition, family law, and personal injury. Jay is a member of the Iowa Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in Federal and State Court in Iowa. Jay works primarily from the office in Moville.
